The public submissions process for the Energy Industry Jobs Plan (EIJP) consultation for Gladstone Power Station has concluded.

Submissions received

88 submissions were received, 74% of which were from workers at Gladstone Power Station and other individuals. Submissions were also received from groups such as unions, employer organisations, businesses and local council.

These submissions will help the CEO consider next steps in the Gladstone Community of Interest process.

The NZEA thanks all who made a submission.

Public submissions are available on NZEA’s consultation hub

Other consultation

In addition to our public submissions process, the NZEA visited Gladstone in early September to meet with a broad range of stakeholders. This included:

  • impacted workers
  • state and local government
  • unions
  • community groups
  • local employers and employer organisations.

The NZEA will continue to work closely with our stakeholders and partners to support workers, businesses and communities across the Gladstone region.
